As I was watching the Giants game earlier this week, they were playing the Phillies,I noticed that the the starter was Vance Worley for the Philadelphia Phillies and he looked ethnic. With some research, his mother Shirley, is full Chinese who came from Hong Kong and his dad is white – making him Half-Asian and Half-white.
This mixed Asian male,Vance Worley, Grew up in Sacremento, California and graduated from McClatchy High School in Sacramento and attended Long Beach State College. He currently is a starting pitcher for the Philadelphia Phillies.
His nickname is the “Vanimal” and he is also the fith “Ace” on the Phillies dominant pitching baseball team. He breaks the typical Asian Male Stereotype and is actually pretty tall for a typical Asian; he is 6’2” 200lbs. I couldn’t find any other information on him, but did find plenty of pictures.
